I did it! i got the better of the brambles! However it was done with the aid of a very funky well priced pair of purple gardening gloves from a very good cheap shop known to many folk in this part of the country!
I was at it for about an hour and a half in total, and made a fair amount of progress. There is a definate visable space in the border where the brambles used to be! Trimmed back growths around back pathway and climbing entrance to the house, finished by feed, weed, and seeding the lawn.
The lawn really needs it as my four legged friends calls of nature seem to have acidic properties which don’t agree with the lawn! So much to the distress of four legs the lawn is being given some TLC which means no races on it for a week or two to give it time to recouperate!
All in all not to bad for a days work, if i do say so myself. Unfortunately now suffering for my efforts!:’(
